The HARADRIM are very dear and dark to me and I am happy to finally get working on full paintings for them in the coming months. I am able to keep my fun work going based on my mood. I have been in DARK mode recently, and over the last couple of weeks gotten enough art done to publish some of my Haradrim Art.
THE RED PORT is one of my main locations in the eastern coastal territories of what I have rightly dubbed as Black Harad. This Great Tower is basically my scaled down Haradrim equivalent to Umbar. I will go into more detail when I write the full Watch Tower article. This article is about the new art that I am doing for my Special Harad collections.
I love how modular these building are. HARDWEAR STUDIOS is going to continue getting a lot of my attention for the rest of the year. I have had my Nerd-eye on these cool models for awhile now and it is very cool to finally have these main city buildings for my BATTLETECH Environments.
As of this month I finally own the big three city buildings I am using for my Administrative sector Now that I have tested how they will fit when stacked in alternate configurations I am of course continuing the planning of my city layouts. This is all very FUN! 🤗🌆🧐
I am starting this collection with a big reliable Catapult for Mordor. I will get some wheels and plenty of creepy bits to evil it up good before it rolls onto the battlefield. For Gondor and Rohan I will be using one Trebuchet supported by two Ballistae. I feel like I need to have these versatile artillery batteries for both armies because of the monsters they are going to battle. I can reorganize these units as needed of course. I will be adding a few bits to these weapons to bring them more firmly into Middle-earth along with their Mordor counterpart.
I am very happy that I found some cool alternate artillery models that I actually like much better than the overpriced and IMO very bland GW equivalents. I have to chuckle at the fact I just purchased 1 Catapult, 4 Ballistae, 2 Trebuchet, and a cute little Pumpkin Patch Garden (that all look fantastic) for just $45 delivered. I still need to get some crew models of course, but that is no big deal.
This Recreating the Ruined City of Osgiliath weekend article is full of cool new images and general LOTR-nerd stuff. I (WE, right gang?) need this... all of it! Unless it is a trillion bucks, in which case all of this stuff is on Etsy too. I hope GW prices these kits reasonably so we can buy several... We'll know soon!
