FLYING SOLO: STAR WARS X-WING A.I.

The new FFG X-WING A.I. is interesting. I have been doing this type of thing for years with dice and my knowledge of the game and good ole common sense that is earned with years of gaming.

I am happy to see that Fantasy Flight is doing this and I may alter my own little A.I. because so far this official version does actually look cool and fun!

The new version of the game allows us to completely incorporate the ship models and other universal items like the dice and other bits, so do not let your hate grab you, go read the news... it is all great!

FFG NEW PREVIEWS OF X-WING WAVE FOURTEEN!

FFG has previewed all of the (pre-Solo) expansions over this past week, and the best NEW Ship coming for X-Wing in my view in Wave Fourteen is the crazy TIE Reaper! 

I am not sad at all to see yet another Imperial Shuttle, this Dam-Beast is awesome! Checkout all of the Imperial Glory coming soon in the Sowing Fear article!

The Save The Rebellion expansion is doing a lot to improve the U-Wing and T-65 X-Wing... but MEH! I have been doing these very things for years as Rogue Squadron. If I waited for FFG to fix things wrong in this game I would of stopped playing a long while ago. 

Yeah it is cool that Fantasy Flight has finally made the S-Foils trick happen, but that should of been done three years ago as a Rogue Squadron or Heroes Of Yavin expansion.

I wonder what we are going to get from The (Kinda) Solo Film?

X-WING WAVE THIRTEEN EXPANSION ARTICLES AND RELEASE DATE!

FFG waited right up to the final weeks before The Last Jedi to post their glorious Resistance Bomber and TIE Silencer preview articles! I like that Fantasy Flight closed the wonderful Autumn Holiday with these ships. Check out the coolness gang, these are both awesome expansions!

Fantasy Flight Games posted an update today to their Upcoming category showing that the whole of Waves XII and XIII are shipping now with a street date of 12/7/2017... MERRY CHRISTMAS!

WE ARE GETTING SOME FANTASY FLIGHT VIDEO GAMES!

Fantasy Flight has made some of the best games in the industry and I love that they are so committed to keeping things fun! For the most part FFG are doing very good work in my view.

Recently in the last few years FFG has introduced APPs for their Board Games. Mansions Of Madness 2nd Edition is the one that I can directly speak for as I own it. If you are not a serious Game Master-DM-Referee like myself; then these Apps are a cool new addition to pen & paper-board gaming. I feel that these hybrid games are fun and have a place in the biz.

Tim Gerritsen is one of the biggies involved in all of this coolness. Tim had a lot to do with FFG Games and now he is leading the heavy duty team involved in bringing us a number of Fantasy Flight Games properties as Video Games, according to today's PC GAMER article!

How do you guys and gals feel about getting some FFG Video Games in the coming years? Might be awesome!

FFG ANNOUNCES X-WING WAVE 12!

FFG has officially announced Wave Twelve today to the joy of many deep-dish STAR WARS Fans! Checkout the crazy new ships in the Bring On The Alpha Strike article!

The Wave that many people are happy to see... or they just don't get it...lol! The HUTT Fleet gets one of their beast-ships; which I hollered about for over a year. The Empire finally gets the dam-star-wing-monster too which had a kult at the forums for two years. I have to admit that I love the dam-thing now that I see how lovely FFG made it. The Rebels got another ... Uhh... Rebels ship, and it is fine.

 

This is a fine and a crazy-ass wave gang, and I love it!

GENCON 50 2017: THURSDAY & FRIDAY... DAM-GLORY!!!

2017 is the fiftieth anniversary of GEN CON, and Wowzers this year is being all kinds of DAM-GLORIOUS! On Thursday WIZKIDZ previewed New STAR TREK ATTACK WING Card Expansions which they plan for all factions to improve ('ish... LOL!) the game. Kinda funny & cute, but it is a worthy effort I think. 

More importantly Fantasy Flight Games has announced STAR WARS: LIGION and shown us X-WING WAVE TWELVE!
