September 22nd is the Birthday of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins, two characters from J.R.R. Tolkiens popular Middle Earth Cycle books (The Hobbit and Lord Of The Rings respectively) in which Hobbits, typically between two and four feet tall and nothing like your usual hero, accomplish great feats and amazing acts of courage.

After decades of loving Middle-earth I added The Hobbit Day to my Autumn Equinox Celebrations. I admit I had no idea until this time last year that there was an official HOBBIT DAY. The Lord of the Rings has always been a part of my Autumn Joys and so why not have a HOBBIT DAY... afterall.
This makes me extra happy.

The Great Tower and Temple Fort are done now. These are the primary buildings for my scaled down Haradrim equivalent toUmbar. I am very happy with these excellent prints from my Nerd Friend Big Mike at Late Night Alchemy! I have a lot more to do yet on this huge game table project, but it is coming along just fine.

The Printing has begun for my Special Harad Terrain collections! 🤗 What do you think my LOTR Brothers, is it going to be cool? She is BIG. For scale that cool little shipwreck is six inches wide at the center and five inches wide at her stern which is closest to the actual tower model. This Great Tower is the primary building for my scaled down Haradrim equivalent toUmbar .

The HARADRIMare very dear and dark to me and I am happy to finally get working on full paintings for them in the coming months. I am able to keep my fun work going based on my mood. I have been in DARK mode recently, and over the last couple of weeks gotten enough art done to publish some of my Haradrim Art.
THE RED PORT is one of my main locations in the eastern coastal territories of what I have rightly dubbed as Black Harad. This Great Tower is basically my scaled down Haradrim equivalent to Umbar. I will go into more detail when I write the full Watch Tower article. This article is about the new art that I am doing for my Special Harad collections.
The following images demonstrate my process for painting the actual models that I am collecting for my special Good and Evil Harad armies. I am doing this work because it is very FUN and helps me decide exactly how these beautiful figures will look when they are completed. I have wanted to do some art for my expanded Middle-earth Universe for a while and this is the best way to get it done.
I have half a mind to go back and replace that cute tiny Naz from this first Angmar painting I did for my beloved LOTR collection. I might just leave it as is too... just because it shows my little improvements as I make more of this crazy Digital Art.
The B&W toned images are the initial step for me when doing full color paintings. Think of the Zenithal Prime stage in miniature painting... it is more or less the same for me when designing the look of my digital paintings.
I am planning an entire table in this style. There are more versions of the basic Red Port Tower and more buildings like the Temple-fort and a shipwreck. Of course I have all sorts of other little details planned such as tents, camping gear, and beast of burden too.

The brand NEW Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin: Gameplay Trailer showed my chosen badass BLACK ORCS for my updated better looking LOTR game miniatures, and I had to smile seeing them in these nice looking animations.

The Haradrim are a nomadic people that have a varied culture and thus practice specific ways of living. Over time many have built and settled into a handful of cities which are in their way akin to Gondor. Outside of these great places are various tribes and a few small kingdoms which guard the boarders of Harad. The noble family of Thun mastered such a kingdom facing the mountains of far eastern Harad.The Darkness Slayer 🧙♂️🔮🦉 mentored Prince ZufarThun 🦁 (and others of Near and Far Harad) in the same way that Gandalf guided Bilbo and Aragorn towards achieving their best destinies.
I am building the WHITE MOON Alliance of Prince Thun! This cool little army represent the GOOD HARAD people that resisted the influence of Sauron. Of course these people hail from the many citizens of the smaller border cities. They could more or less be ignored because the evil people of Harad did not consider them as strong enough to join them in their full deluded support of their new Dark God.
Ole'rengo is Thun's trusted Mumak and battle mount. His family bloodline has faithfully and boldly served The House of Thun for generations. Ole'rengo is still young for his race, yet he has earned respect and is known for being fearless on the battlefield.

The Blue Wizards 🧙♂️🔮🦉 are among the coolest characters that Tolkien left behind in his room full of notes. It would of been great to have a grander story about them. When we consider just how huge the War of The Ring story is, I admit that I completely understand why these characters fuller story got left in John's piles of notes. We do have enough information about the Blue Wizards to understand that the best way to use them in this game is to treat them as Eastern Gandalfs, because they did the same work there that he did in the west.
I chose Morinehtar The Darkness Slayer as my Eastern Wizard hero. He mentored Prince Thun (and others of Far Harad) in the same way that Gandalf guided Bilbo and Aragorn towards achieving their best destinies.
In my little daydreams about these snippets of story; Aragorn met Morinehtar and other important people in the boarder kingdoms of Far Harad. Do we know for sure... no, but it is something that I feel Tolkien wanted to explore, and he would have done, if he had lived ten more years... 🍷🧐🎩

I am going to remain open to this because it might be great. Best thing to do IMO is to just wait and see what it looks (and feels) like as more info and imagery come from these companies.

I have seen a lot of special people saying that they do not want the six PJ films remade. Guys the articles have made it clear that they have the rights to the LOTR and HOBBIT books and they are making all NEW stories from these books. They are not REMAKING anything.
