BOSS' BATTLETECH: CLAN WOLF DROPSHIPS PART 1

This painting was a fun weekend project. I am going to make my models look very much like this.

I am using the BLADE and LANCE Aerodyne DropShips from HADWEAR Studios for my CLAN WOLF AEROSPACE fleet and TECH TURFF collections. The Blade model is an updated version of the classic Broadsword. The Lance is a fine match to the updated Broadsword and screams (HOWLS) cool escort ship!

I LOVE THESE SHIPS

I love how Dale made use of key design elements from the ancient Broadsword art, and updated it to match the modern badassery of the 2013 art. Both of these DropShips look cool!

Best believe I ordered this NEW TIMBER WOLF... it was just announced on the CGL site today and I ordered two of them a few minutes ago because... WOLF GLORY! Keep doing  cool projects gang!

ASSEMBLE YOUR FORCES!

First seen during the battle of Tukayyid, the -TC Timber Wolf offered the Clans a configuration unique to this legendary battle. 

This premium variant uses new modeling techniques being employed to update all BattleMech designs. It comes unassembled and unpainted, with posable arms in ball-and-joint sockets. The shoulder sockets will accommodate the arms of future premiums in the same weight class for the ultimate kit-bashing experience.

COLLECTION DIARY: MARCH 2022

I am at the point in my all NEW Battletech Collecting where I can work on units as a series of several cool little manageable art projects. I finally own most of the TANKS I have been writing  articles about over the last several months.

I am very happy to own this first Strikers Lance for my cool little FED COM badasses! Thanks to Jessi from MINIATURES OF MAYHEM for these wonderful little prints! 🍷🤖🎩

 

The DAGON Heavy Assault Hover Landing Craft is the juggernaut of the Steiner Coastal Defense.

This is such a cool model! 🤗

Clans Wolf and Falcon Assault Vehicles are joining my Clan armies this month too!

BOSS' BATTLETECH: TANKS PART 7

  As my regular B6*R7 Fliers know I plan stuff out as I buy the toys and such. I have been doing that for my renewed BATTLETECH babies for six fun months. Now that I have most of my MECHS, AEROSPACE, and TROOPS setup and just waiting for me to buy all of them.

It is the time for a HOVER TANKS episode! 

The Hover Tanks in Battletech are crazy and full of odd-ball designs. I have hunted down models that I think look badass and are just cool. The Svantovit is the best looking Inner Sphere craft for my taste and thus I wanted miniatures that look close to that style of vehicle. 

The Clan Hover Tanks are a mix of crazy and classic designs in my collection. The Hephaestus and Luduan are good examples of wild looking tanks that will contrast very well with their good guy counters. I wanted to be sure to get some of that diversity and fun flavor in my Clan armies!

BOSS' BATTLETECH: TANKS PART 6

 As my regular B6*R7 Fliers know I plan stuff out as I buy the toys and such. I have been doing that for my renewed BATTLETECH babies for six fun months. Now that I have most of my MECHS, AEROSPACE, and TROOPS setup and just waiting for me to buy all of them.

It is the time for a LRM TANKS & CARRIERS episode! 

I love Missile Tanks! This episode was rather difficult for me to put together because there are so damn many models out there to represent these badasses. I have my eye on a few more and The Archangels have their own crazy tanks already. These are my favorites of everything I have looked at over the last several months and I am going to buy many of them. I decided that Clan Jade Falcon is going to do without these tanks because I am running them with only a few fast attack and support ground vehicles.

 

Among the various Tracked Combat Vehicles there are many types and styles of LRM CARRIERS  These powerful machines are capable of firing all sorts of ARROW Ordnance, and they are to be expected on all battlefields of The Inner Sphere.

COLLECTION DIARY: JANUARY 2022

I FINALLY GOT SOME GREAT LOOKING CGL SPECIAL BATTLETECH MODELS!

True story. I had that wonderful LEGENDARY set in my Amazon cart for... well months. They had the best price all of that time coming in at $125 with shipping. I waited; used some common sense, and finally got the pretties for a whole great BIG $30 direct form CGL! 🍷🧐🤖🎩🤗

I love these Badass ROUND Bases! They are going to make my models look so nice. I got a new black-ass-baby case for the small game stuff too because I plan to have a bunch of B-TECH SWAG and special Trooper models for my forces and none of it needs to bumbling around in large cases.

 

I got most of the force specific 3D Prints done in late December and a whole bunch of other faction specific tanks and such in January. I will be taking pictures of these formed up in their correct groupings and write a number of articles featuring all of this stuff in the coming weeks!

 As my regular B6*R7 Fliers know I plan stuff out as I buy the toys and such. I have been doing that for my renewed BATTLETECH babies for two fun months. Now that I have most of my MECHS, AEROSPACE, and TROOPS setup and just waiting for me to buy all of them.

It is the time for a CLAN WOLF & HOUSE STEINER TANKS episode!

I am very pleased to have these classic tanks in updated OMNI TANK models!

I like the big special characterful crazy tanks in Battletech, and the Heimdall is certainly that. My version of this Heavy Assault Vehicle is a lighter faster AV that keeps the heavy hitting main gun. I am going to be adding updated missal pods to the base model to keep the crazy look that drew me to include this tank in the first place.

 

The Schildkröte and Sekhmet are very powerful tanks with important battlefield roles. The WARDEN KNIGHT is designed to achieve the best of both roles as a new MAT (Main Assault Tank) and is the heaviest of the STEINER KNIGHT  Omni Tank-Assault Vehicles.

BOSS' BATTLETECH: TANKS PART 2

As my regular B6*R7 Fliers know I plan stuff out as I buy the toys and such. I have been doing that for my renewed BATTLETECH babies for two fun months. Now that I have most of my MECHS, AEROSPACE, and TROOPS setup and just waiting for me to buy all of them... it is the time for TANKS!

The BULLDOG is an ancient brawler and widely used in the Inner Sphere as a reliable Main Battle Tank that has stood the test of time. The Clans use their own version of this tank because they too recognize it as a worthy and easily maintained war machine.

I am going to have a few dropships, bases and some cities edge terrain for my TOTAL WARFARE games. That means that all of my factions are going to have several very cool defender, support, and urban assault vehicles. 

House Steiner recently commissioned The Mächtiger Ritter which is a new Heavy Assault-Defense vehicle. This beast has been extremely affective at protecting far reaching Lyran Commonwealth  outpost since it's deployment. The MIGHTY KNIGHT (Mächtiger Ritter) was built as a direct counter to House Steiner's hated enemies; The Draconis Combine's Sekhmet Assault Vehicle. Archon Joseph Boskie approved the matter quietly after a favored commanders son was hurt in an encounter with two of these monstrous Draconis vehicles during the purge of a troublesome Draconis outpost.

BOSS' BATTLETECH: TANKS PART 1

I spent about six hours re-painting/editing the title image above for this article's cover, just for fun. 🤗 Now it looks like my beloved STEINERS should look in my view, which is badass and heroic!

The PATISAN Heavy Air Defense Tank is widely utilized in The Battletech Universe. I am going to use this monster as a main defense element in my Federated Commonwealth forces.

Clan Wolf In Exile are much like the SARACEN of ancient times. When considering how those deadly warriors conducted their battles in remote and perilous wastelands the name is perfect as an alternate designation for their version of this devastating assault tank. 

The mighty BEHEMOTH BD-II is one of the best new advanced Main Assault Tanks I have found in my searching... I love it! This is one of three MAT types that will be leading my Lyran Commonwealth to many a great victory!

Two more MATs that will be taking care of business are the Clan WOLF DEMOGOR and the new STEINER DI MORGAN II. I may get versions of these badasses for Clan JADE FALCON and FED COM too... still planning.

COLLECTION DIARY: NOVEMBER 2021

BATTLETECH and ROBOTECH are MECH-Joy for me and it is so cool to own these games now!

I am very happy to post my second cute little #BATTLETECH #COLLECTIONDIARY 🤗🛒😘 I had fun hunting down these little Metal Monsters over the past 60 daze since I came back to my first miniatures game after 30 years away! 🤗 I have at least one lance of #BattleMechs for #HouseSTEINER #HouseDAVION and good ole #COMSTAR 💗🤍💙🖤💛 I also have one or more stars of #ClanWOLF 🤎🐺🖤 and #ClanJADEFALCON 💚🦅🖤 mechs! I have most of my #Aerospace forces for all of these factions too as of this November's collection diary. Welcome back #BattletechALPHASTRIKE and #BattletechTOTALWARFARE my dear old friends 💞🍷🤖🎩!
