COLLECTION DIARY: OCTOBER 2022

 

Thus begins my LOTR Miniatures collection. I am using many miniatures that are from other games and companies to play my LOTR: Middle-Earth SB GAME scenarios. These will be heavy on Tolkien's world which includes the often overlooked elements of Gothic Horror. Some of these wonderful monsters will of course also appear in my Lovecraft and MCP Marvel Nights games.

I got my first sets of wonderful STAR TREK Fighters and Shuttles this fall... they make me very happy!

SPEED PAINTING DEMO VIDEO (Speed Paint vs Contrast: A Comparative Review)

This is an interesting and helpful review. As you know I have a great many miniatures and I have been considering doing several of them in this faster but still very nice new contrast method. I think I am going to do it now, for the basic rank and file figures at least.

I am very happy to be able to post another CTHULHU CHRISTMAS this year!

The Haunter of The Dark is one of my favorite LOVECRAFT stories. These new models enable me to play that story.

 I could post the cool BLADE Car and Werewolf and Vampire models I have gathered up, and the new city terrain but without BLADE and the rest of the crew I wanted for this project it is well... it ain't what I planned to do for this years CREEP GLORY.

The weekend conclusion of WarHammer FEST 2021 ended with a few more cool reveals like the badass new weapons upgrade kits and more horror miniatures. I have uses for all of these goodies!

IT WAS A GOOD DARK WEEKEND!

 

I am very happy to know I will have this in hand next week! From the time I got the email notice from GameNerdz and purchased my copy (three minutes after I got the email) they had sold out again in nine minutes... Yah, this is a damn populare game!

I am going to play Cursed City... of course but I also wanted it for my Eldritch Horror and Marvel Knights game collections! This was a cool, overcast, good DARK weekend!

BOSS SHOP: MCP - MARVEL KNIGHTS MONSTERS: VAMPYRE

I love these Vampire miniatures. I am going to use them for MARVEL KNIGHTS and ELDRITCH HORROR games... of course! The bats are a forthcoming expansion for Warhammer Quest Cursed City. I am going to do some fun and easy conversions on some of these models and swap out the magnetized bases to make them look correct for each game setting.

AMG MINI *MARVEL* EXTRAVAGANZA WAS GOOD!

So ends this years AMG online Mini Extravaganza. It was very good to see SPIDER-VERSE 2. The MARVEL KNIGHTS sneak peeks featured in some of the AMG Videos are IMO the best of the final revels from the last day. I love these characters and The BLADE model. We did not get anything new about Moon Knight but that will be coming soon together with BLADE!

AMG is bringing some CLASSIC MARVEL KNIGHTS and BLADE GLORY! I just had to do a little edit of my screen capped images of this very last sneak peek: They saved THE BEST FOR LAST with The GLORIOUS BLADE Model! Making this picture calmed me down and I accepted that I still have to wait a few more months before I can buy these wonderful models!

HEXBUG SPACE TOYS FOR ALIENS COLLONY TERRAIN... YES!

I just discovered this toy line after members of GF9 ALINES posted asking about other terrain options for the game. I have looked at all of the boxed sets and I agree that the scale and detail looks good. I am getting a test set next month. If it is solidly constructed and indeed in the right scale I may buy more... I will have an update on this in a few weeks.

A WHOLE LOT OF ALIENS - GF9 ALIENS EXPANSIONS!

If you are onboard for larger games of The ALIENS Another Glorious Day game then you will like these expansions! I think it is cool that GF9 did this because now you can get extra Marines and Aliens on their own. I do not plan to buy from the GF9 store however because it's a little antique monster. I buy with PayPal for obvious reasons, but for the rest of you... Go Rock! I am going to buy these wonderful expansions from my regular online shops.
