This week I got everything together to (finally) build my beloved TERROR TROOPERS!

I used Artur's cool picture of his greatcoat troopers to make a mockup for what my Terror Troops will look like. It was a lot of fun painting this while listening to cool DUNE music!

My SUPPER BADASS Black-boys are on the way...

The Imperial Sardaukar Terror Troops are some of the coolest and most deadly fighters in all of the DUNE universe. When I started this project I took the path of building a version of them that are true to the book version. For me these are Imperial Sardaukar. I love these badasses of course... however I still wanted the classic versions of these warriors. I wanted the big green face mask and the black suites and coats.

A year ago I could not find models that I wanted to use for my beloved TERROR TROOP version of the Sardaukar.🖤 That changed this week when good ole PUPPETSWAR announced their new set of glorious badass Sentinel headsets! 🤗 SOooo now I can use the wonderful armored trenchcoated troopers that I have loved since I first discovered PuppetsWar... with these NEW super-sexy-sentinel heads!

COLLECTION DIARY: JULY 2021

I started featuring DUNE in my Collection Diaries last month. This goes hand and hand with my DUNE Summer Storm project. I have been building up all of my DUNE Factions for the last year and now I am all about making this project rock. I am going to post the collection in alphabetical order. Thus July featured HOUSE ATREIDES and BENE GESSERIT of course.

BOSS SHOP: DUNE - HOUSE CORRINO - PROJECT OVERVIEW

HOUSE CORRINO is the most Evil Faction in the entire DUNE Universe, however I would venture to say they are also the most palatable Bad Guys. The scheming, limitless greed, and royal arrogance of Emperor Shaddam IV is perversely charming and legendary! It is important to me to make the Emperor's DEATH TROOPS elegant and evil looking and awesome in my DUNE Miniatures Game!

Ole hippy activist Frank described almost nothing in his sleepy novels. I call it Dune-fog-vision. Cool things are happening but feel free to imagine just about anything visually. A happy consequence of Frank's vague space drama narrative is that we get to see a million versions of The DUNE Universe!

In the decades past the DUNE novels first publication DUNE has been wonderfully illustrated! These modern artist did what Frank could-would not do. I have found much to ponder and enjoy while researching! You can barely find art that is consistent in design, but some of it is similar in the basic vision of the concept. Look up any character or the beloved worms; you will find great variation, and I like it, because much of it is well done.

The Dune-fog-vision has made it easy for me to use the models and miniatures that I like and that look the way I want them to look. I am happy to report that I have found great models that matchup with what I see when reading the wonderful DUNE Novels. With GW being inspired by Classic Sci-Fi properties like DUNE and the wild selection available on Etsy this new adventure has been a lot of fun.

When you search around for Sardaukar you will find dozens of designs... and about six of them look great. I love the more modern hard-mean look so of course I will be purchasing several GW Scions and other fun models!

As I planned my DUNE Miniatures Game I did a lot of NEW Research since I recently started reading the Brian Herbert main storyline Dune Universe Prequel Novels. I looked at what other DUNE enthusiast have done with scratch and limited release/converted miniatures and models too!
