BOSS' BATTLETECH: CLAN WOLF DROPSHIPS PART 1

This painting was a fun weekend project. I am going to make my models look very much like this.

I am using the BLADE and LANCE Aerodyne DropShips from HADWEAR Studios for my CLAN WOLF AEROSPACE fleet and TECH TURFF collections. The Blade model is an updated version of the classic Broadsword. The Lance is a fine match to the updated Broadsword and screams (HOWLS) cool escort ship!

I love how Dale made use of key design elements from the ancient Broadsword art, and updated it to match the modern badassery of the 2013 art. Both of these DropShips look cool!

BOSS' BATTLETECH: FEDERATED COMMONWEALTH DROPSHIP & STRIKER LANCES PART 1

My STRIKER LANCES are a very cool part of my FEDCOM and they are going to be deployed by UNION-OVERLORD Dropships. I have posted a lot of Steiner and ComStar articles, but now that I have this nice DP model I am hyped to turn my assets to FEDCOM. My BATTLETECH: CITY TECH models will be used for FEDCOM & STEINER-LYRAN Battle Environments... which I am getting started this Summer.

BOSS' BATTLETECH: AEROSPACE FIGHTERS - ARCHANGEL⭐GUARD

The series of AREO and OMNI Space Fighters are full of crazy craft...and I love several of them. For the purposes of my TOTAL WAR Battletech games I have decided to pick about a half dozen craft to populate my air and space battlefields. The designs are all similar, thus I quickly determined the best thing to do was to just get models that I like and look right for the B-TECH universe.

According to some of the history Com Star and most of the major houses use many of the same Areospace Fighters. I am using LAMs and my updated versions of the Corsair with crazy WOB Archangel like OmniFighters that look absolutely badass.
 I like my chosen Space Wizards craft a lot. They all suite my taste and fit much of the B-Tech art.

The Archangels Areospace Forces use the best equipment available including the newer Archangel OmniFighters, VTOL Gunships, specialized LAMs, and heavy APCs which are a much heavier Striga design. The AG-Agents and their Troopers are dropped into the heat of battle with an array of Battlesuits, Stealth Tech, and powerful new weapons.

BOSS' BATTLETECH: BASES PART 1

 I am replacing all of my hex-crap bases with glorious NEW ROUND Bases... because they are better in every way and look fantastic. I am setting up my armies and SPECIAL FORCES for the game by unit type and thus will have a fun variety of corresponding base sizes. I will be using SPEC OPPS Troops, for example, in teams of three (models), and these will be on cute 20MM bases.  

I love Battletech but I always despised the stupid-ass one size fits all hex bases that are used for everything. NOPE! Assault Mechs need to be on a larger base than a Light Mech... FFS! In my collection this will all be done right. 

To get started I have about 24 bases for each of these sizes:

 20MM: SPEC OPPS - Large Battlesuits & Small Units - Equipment. 

30MM: Small Mechs, Vehicles & Standard Units. 

40MM: Medium Mechs, Tanks & Standard Aerospace. 

50MM: Heavy Mechs, Tanks & Medium Aerospace - APCs.

60MM: Assault Mechs, Tanks & Large Aerospace - APCs.

 Because it is aesthetically correct and fun... and my armies will look great and grand!

This digital painting was another of my fun little #BATTLETECH weekend projects. I spent about six hours re-painting/editing the original COMSTAR image featuring my boy Anastasius Focht  My new Archangel Guard version introduces my ComStar character Alexander Taylor. Alexander is Precentor Martial of the new Archangel Guard.🤍⚡🖤

I love that the Archangel Tanks and Angel APC's look like they were built to go with my Special Force. Brothers notice how these brand new tanks have plating that goes crazy just like the armor on the actual Archangel Mechs. Look at the winglets on the badass Aero-angel-craft! They look just like they will function similarly to how the back and shoulder winglets of the Archangels! Then as if this was not enough... the Missileers have the dam-fine chest-torso styling of the Archangels. GLORY UPON GLORY! 🤍⭐🖤

The Angels already have their own BATTLE HYME too... The badass ending where Andy slays with his guitar is the last sound enemies of ComStar and The Inner Sphere will ever hear.

BOSS' BATTLETECH: COM🌠STAR - ARCHANGEL⭐GUARD PART 1

COMSTAR is one of my favorite Battletech Factions. I love the idea of fixing the mess that The Word Of Blake caused; which tainted the good that Comstar did for mankind after the fall of The Star League. Thus as usual I am taking a setting that I know well and making changes that suite my game scenarios and opens up the models I can use to tell MY Battletech stories.

 

The ARCHAGLE GUARDIANS are the reformed WOB now. They are SPECIAL FORCES managed by COMSTAR and supported by Steiner-Lyran, FED COM, Davion and other powerful groups. The Archangel Guard preforms deep cover operations which secure the safety of the most important hidden assets of The Inner Sphere.

The Archangels use the best equipment available including the newer Archangel Mechs, OmniFighters, VTOLs, and specialized Tanks. The AG-Agents and their Troopers have an array of Battlesuits, Stealth Tech and powerful new weapons.

BOSS' BATTLETECH: AEROSPACE FIGHTERS - COM🌠STAR

Now that I have my first star of COMSTAR MECHS planned I am prepping for the rest of the army. As a COMSTAR and WORD OF BLAKE Commander I am going to run a good combination of Mechs. These glorious lances will need support. I have chosen to start with a few tanks and troops of course, and several Areospace fighters!

BOSS' BATTLETECH: AEROSPACE FIGHTERS - CLAN JADE FALCON

Now that I have my first star of CLAN FALCON MECHS planned I am prepping for the rest of the army. As a Falcon Commander I am going to run a good combination of Mechs. These glorious stars will need support. I have chosen to start with a few tanks and troops of course, and several Areospace fighters!

The series of AREO and OMNI Space Fighters are full of crazy craft...and I love several of them. For the purposes of my TOTAL WAR Battletech games I have decided to pick about a half dozen craft to populate my air and space battlefields. The designs are all similar, thus I quickly determined the best thing to do was to just get models that I like and look right for the B-TECH universe.

According to some of the history Clan Falcon and Clan Wolf often use the same Areospace Fighters. I am using LAMs and the Xerxes because they look like badass Raptors in space.
 I like my chosen Raptory craft a lot. They all suite my taste and fit much of the B-Tech art.

COLLECTION DIARY: NOVEMBER 2021

BATTLETECH and ROBOTECH are MECH-Joy for me and it is so cool to own these games now!

I am very happy to post my second cute little #BATTLETECH #COLLECTIONDIARY 🤗🛒😘 I had fun hunting down these little Metal Monsters over the past 60 daze since I came back to my first miniatures game after 30 years away! 🤗 I have at least one lance of #BattleMechs for #HouseSTEINER #HouseDAVION and good ole #COMSTAR 💗🤍💙🖤💛 I also have one or more stars of #ClanWOLF 🤎🐺🖤 and #ClanJADEFALCON 💚🦅🖤 mechs! I have most of my #Aerospace forces for all of these factions too as of this November's collection diary. Welcome back #BattletechALPHASTRIKE and #BattletechTOTALWARFARE my dear old friends 💞🍷🤖🎩!

BOSS' BATTLETECH: MY BSG AEROSPACE MODELS

Over the last month of my fifty sum daze back into Battletech I have had a lot of fun researching the universe and exploring all thing Battletech. As a long time STAR WARS X-WING extremist I love an organized army-fleet on the table. I am approaching my Battletech Aerospace Collection in this way based on the B-Tech Factions I like and what they normally use in their warfare. This means for my own complete enjoyment of the game I need coherent squadrons for my factions. I am using almost none of the official airmechs for my factions because I do not like most of the old designs. For the craft that I do like I have found better updated model versions for them.

Looks like good guy space-goths and bad guy wolf-raiders to me.

BOSS' BATTLETECH: MY ROBO-BATTLE-TECH LAM & AEROSPACE MODELS

As my B6*R7 Fliers may know I am building my BATTLETECH GAME now, and an important part of the collection is AEROSPACE BABES! I just found that crazy ROBOTECH Game this weekend and purchased a box after doing about an hour of researching the scale, and quality of the components. This is great fun and I love it already... it'll be here next week.

🛒 I was going to get the Kid version but then I looked around for them all over and to get the trio-set for the full LAM goodness it cost about $50. Then I did that fast and easy math for what the five complete trios in the ROBOTECH game would cost. 

I ordered the game last night for only $72. Plus the game includes a lot of other cool models including a pair of WAR HAMMERS and RIFFELMEN. There is also that crazy original MARAUDER in the set. 🤗

COLLECTION DIARY: OCTOBER 2021

I am very happy to finally get my first wave of beloved BATTLETECH goodies!

I have dabbled with some 3DPrints in the past for my BBA Star Trek, and BSG EPIC games, but with B-Tech I am all in now. I am loving these badass prints... it is such a relief to know that I am not stuck waiting around for CGL releases to meander out.

 I am going to build faction based forces that only include models that I love. Can you imagine the utter mess it would be to collect six ATLAS say, for Muh STEINERS, or ten TIMBERWOLF for Muh WOLVES, (for the badass look of it and alternate configurations) with CGL as your only source? Hell-NAH!

The DEATH RAY DESINGS Solar Shift 6mm models are fantastic! I am going to buy almost all of this cool miniatures range for my version of BATTLETECH TOTAL WARFARE!

Ditto what I said above about DRD, the models produced by STRATO MINIS are fabulously B-TECH in general look and feel. Their StratoYager 6mm range is going to comprise nearly the entirety of my CLAN WOLF and JADE FALCON Aerospace Forces!

Muh MECH BABES need to rest in style after their hard battles... 🤖✨😘
