COLLECTION DIARY: MARCH 2022

I am at the point in my all NEW Battletech Collecting where I can work on units as a series of several cool little manageable art projects. I finally own most of the TANKS I have been writing  articles about over the last several months.

I am very happy to own this first Strikers Lance for my cool little FED COM badasses! Thanks to Jessi from MINIATURES OF MAYHEM for these wonderful little prints! 🍷🤖🎩

 

The DAGON Heavy Assault Hover Landing Craft is the juggernaut of the Steiner Coastal Defense.

This is such a cool model! 🤗

Clans Wolf and Falcon Assault Vehicles are joining my Clan armies this month too!

I am finally at the point in my all NEW Battletech Collecting where I can work on units as a series of several cool little manageable art projects.. I prefer that because it is how I build my collections and stay excited about it all.. 

One extra-thing buying all of this Battletech goodness has done is get my knowledge up on 3Dprints. I used to hate seeing these print lines, even from good printers. Now I have gotten over it as long as these little artifacts are not to egregious.

I always wash my models, particularly 3DPrints because I am allergic to the fumes. I wet sand the defects for this same reason. I have learned to spot all of the issues with just water and soap. Later when it is time to prime these wonderful little toys I find that they are just about perfect. 

Print lines do not scare me much anymore... and in some cases I kind of love them.

BOSS' BATTLETECH: HOUSE STEINER NAVY... DAGON WILL RISE!

Now that I have my first lances of STEINER MECHS purchased I am prepping for the rest of the army. As a Steiner Commander I am going to run a lot of Assault and Heavy Mechs. These glorious lances will need support. I have chosen to start with a few tanks and troops of course, and several Areospace fighters! 

The Battletech series of NAVAL Vessels are full of crazy craft...and I love several of them. For the purposes of my TOTAL WAR Battletech games I have decided to pick about a half dozen craft to populate my Costal and Sea battlefields. The designs are all similar, thus I quickly determined the best thing to do was to just get models that I like and look right for the B-TECH universe. 

The DAGON Heavy Assault Hover Landing Craft is the juggernaut of the Steiner Coastal Defense. The cool support vehicles are my wonderful way to field updated versions of the little Plainsman and Zephyr troublemakers. I love all of these models... they are BAMF's!

BOSS' BATTLETECH: FEDERATED COMMONWEALTH STRIKER LANCE PART 2

I have the first Stalker Lance models now and I am happy with them. This is going to be a cool little force to play and they will make my Battletech games more fun because of the ways I intend to use these Special Forces!

I spent the weekend working on the color schemes for my first FEDERATED COMMONWEALTH Lance. I am calling this crazy thing a STALKER LANCE, because they are an Elite Unit whos job it is to kill specific trouble makers in FEDCOM Territories. The base Stalker Lance consist of HELLSPAWN and HOLLANDER with add-on support from STARSLAYER Mechs and other assets as needed. These Elite Units are going to be done in classic FEDCOM Colors. The leaders will often have more of my House STEINER Colors with the blue and black with nice white trim. 💙🖤🤍

Alternate colors particularly city and field camo patterns with some variations in the striping with both house colors prominently represented. STALKERS get dropped into very dangerous places and may call on Aerospace support. These associated attached assets will be in matching colors... of course.
