Oh wow Geddy Lee's grandson is up in here playing Battletech

As of this month I finally own the big three city buildings I am using for my Administrative sector Now that I have tested how they will fit when stacked in alternate configurations I am of course continuing the planning of my city layouts. This is all very FUN! 🤗🌆🧐
I like this! The Battletech Models are perfectly sculpted to work great with Contrast/Speed-paints! I am just getting into this type of painting and seeing a lot of new products for it is cool I think.
Catalyst Game Labs and The Army Painter have partnered to create the BattleTech Starter Set, harnessing the cutting edge Speed Paints to make it easier than ever to paint your ’Mechs. It’s a perfect companion to the fully assembled, out-of-the-box play that Catalyst’s BattleTech miniatures provide.I just found The MechBay Podcast this week. This is a fun and smart show. The guys bring an adult presentation that I prefer to the standard ultra to cool for school idols blah-blahing that are often found online. Good stuff guys! The most recent show was about the CGL Battlefield Support Deck and the forthcoming ALPHA STRIKE BSD mini-deck.
Who's been waiting for this one? More Battle Armor! Inner Sphere Standard this time to face off against the Elementals.
It's not the sexiest piece of armor, but it is in wide spread use and early tech so that all IS players can plausibly use them.
Even the most competent previous artwork for this BA by Matt Plog is 22 years old. Time really flies. With that I decided it was important that the suit look cool and functional before any hamstringing happens out of faithfulness to the old design.
I also wanted to work more of its Elemental BA salvage origins into the design. The proportions of the frame are much more similar (and more realistically fits a human). The lower legs and feet share more design language, the old brick legs had to go.
Even more than the Elemental armor, I think you can look at this concept and really see the man all that armor is strapped around.
I've no idea yet if this will be strictly a force pack item, or if there will be a stretch goal during the KS to also put it in the main Mercenary starter box of the campaign.
The Battletech channel BIG RED 40K just posted a nice little video on some of this news too!
More BATTLETECH 2022 coming soon...
BATTLETECH Boss out!
This Fall is going to be full of very cool new Battletech goodies... this is great!
Third Quarter 2022
Clashing Armies
The commline ablaze with determination.
An army of war-forged metal titans on the heights.
The enemy entrenched in the valley below, weapons charging.
On your order, your force surges toward their foes, banners streaming as weapons sear and render and shatter! Will your star-spanning empire win the day? Only you will decide!
It is the thirty-second century. Mankind has waged a millennia of war across thousands of worlds of human-occupied space. The Great Houses. The Clans. The Periphery. A myriad of star empires claim ascendance, as others wane or fall. Fighting and dying for their ambitions are the MechWarriors who owe them fealty, each the master of a towering avatar of destruction: the BattleMech. You command a detachment of these brave warriors dropped onto an unforgiving battlefield: only your wits and tactical acumen will bring victory, or leave you a casualty on a forgotten world.
BattleTech is the world’s greatest armored combat game. In Alpha Strike, you take command of large-scale engagements, fueled by tabletop miniatures gameplay designed for the modern wargamer. Inside is everything you need to start tossing dice and moving miniatures on your game table.
