COLLECTION DIARY: JUNE 2019

I have had my eye on some more Special Colonial characters and the models I wanted fell to a nice friendly price on Amazon this month so I grabbed them up. I can now make most of my BSB Colonial Hero POPS!

I had my eye on some more Special Cylon characters, and was able to get the POPS! for them this month too. The Classic and New Cylon Centurions are going to be upgraded leader types. I have had a few people ask me why I am getting know character POPS! to use as BSG POPS! The answer is easy and funny (too me). I know The Galactica Universe very very well, and when I see a figure like Cayde-6 for example I do not see that video game persona... no what I see is a modernized version of the classic Cylon Citizen. So Cayde-6 joins the party... real easy!

These goodies are the newer Technical Terrain pieces I purchased this month specifically for my Battlestar Berserk Terrain projects, starting with a cool Cylon Base. I have plenty of other cool stuff already of course, to build things up, but this stuff is going to work great just for my Beloved BSG POPS!

Happy BSG BERSERK Boss out!

The second wave of Spaceship Packs is scheduled to release on August 30th. The third wave will include the two new Vipers and should follow wave two very soon... So We All Hope!

BOSS' BIG STAW: SHAPEWAYS SMALL TREK SHIPS!

There are a number of cool small ships in the TREK Universe that I have always liked and wanted to have in my BBA STAW Games! There are also a number of designs that got officially made, but never actually made it to the shows or films. I recently remembered that I love classic STAR TREK, with the NEW Eaglemoss Models released in the past year, and the goodies yet to come out in 2019! This infusion of new excitement has effected Wizzies too as they are releasing a lot of their crazy STAW: Faction Fleet Packs!

My way to celebrate The TREK Coolness recently has been to look at older ship designs again, to triple check their relative scales. I have found that there are a number of Eaglemoss ships that I overlooked that are actually in scale our BIG Approved Fleets. I will talk more about this in my next STAW Eaglemoss article.

This week I have had a lot of fun hunting down some very special story driving gameable Cool Small Star Trek Ships. All of these ships can be used in Hide & Seek, Capture-Rescue, and Kill-Save The Commander scenarios! Check these badass babies out gang!

There are all kinds of STAW Goodies offered by Armadillo Miniatures.

Excited (Again) TREK Boss out!

BOSS' BATTLESTAR BERSERK - PROJECT OVERVIEW & PREVIEW FIVE

In Preview Two I shared the first of my Colonial POPS! designs for BSB! I have finished the next three Special Characters in recent weeks... and they are kinda very nice. I am pretty sure I can make these as actual models with little or no difficulty.

I am having a lot of fun making these little concept images! The entire project has been fun in fact.

BOSS' BIG STAR TREK: NEW EAGLEMOSS GOODIES (PART 1)

Well it has been a while since I had some good news to report for our BIG Trek Fleets. Eaglemoss has recently made some more goodies however and there are some fun new ships that we can add to our 1/2500 scale'ish collection!

Star Trek: The Official Starship Collection: Special Edition 15 features the Spacedock, which was the largest Starfleet spacedock structure in near-Earth orbit. It was originally conceived as a military base for ship repairs and refits.

Spacedock orbited Earth just within the Van Allen radiation belts and was imagined as having a total height of over three miles. At that size, the facility could easily be visible with the naked eye from the surface of Earth.

StarTrek: The Official Collection: 130 features the Borg Probe, as seen in the Star Trek: Voyager episode 'Dark Frontier part 1'. The Borg probe put up a good fight; attempting to assimilate the ship and the crew. These Federation vs. Borg scenes made the show a lot of FUN!

Star Trek: The Official Starship Collection: 157 features the Groumall, as seen in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode 'Return to Grace'. The Groumall was a freighter that was in service with the Cardassian military in the late 24th century, put under the command of Gul Dukat after his demotion.
