COLLECTION DIARY: JUNE 2021

Starting this month I am going to feature DUNE in my Collection Diaries. This goes hand and hand with my DUNE Summer Storm project. I have been building up all of my DUNE Factions for the last year and now I am all about making this project rock.I am going to post the collection in alphabetical order. So this first diary features HOUSE ATREIDES and BENE GESSERIT of course. 🤗

In recent months I have been delighted to utilize the fun world of Snap Ships for many of my DUNE vehicles. I am using them for very specific builds that look like the REAL DUNE artwork that I love. Of course that is cool but I am going to use any model that fits the style I want for this project. The reality that Games Workshops has been stealing from DUNE for decades means that I am also going to use a lot of cool 40K and Necromunda kits. 😎

These little badass Atreides Sand Runner groundcars are right from the DUNE Universe design aesthetic and I love them! This is where my wonderful little Snap Ships kits will shine brightly!

TO MAKE THIS PROJECT GREAT I NEEDED TO EXPERIMENT WITH BUILDING AND CUSTOMIZING THESE COOL LITTLE MODELS. NOW THAT I AM GOOD WITH WORKING THE KITS I CLEANED UP THESE FINAL('ISH) BUILDS THAT HAVE BEEN ON MY DESK FOR 2 TO 3 WEEKS...

...AND NOW I AM TOTALLY SETUP TO KEEP THESE WONDERFUL MODELS NICE AND CLEAN AND SAFE!

SPACE BATTLESHIP YAMATO 2205 PREVIEW!

I have not written an article for my Beloved SPACE BATTLESHIP YAMATO in a long time becuase there has not been much news for it. But now we know that 2205 is coming this Winter! I have seen a few post about it on my STAR BLAZERS-YAMATO websites but now there is a new video preview that we can enjoy without speaking Japanese. I am very happy to see this is looking great, and we know there will be some wonderful Bandai 2205 models coming too!

JOHN DYKSTRA is one of the all time great Visual Artisans to grace our imaginative fantastic media with his iconic visions!!! Billions of Sci-Fi and Fantasy Adventure film fans know his work! Big John has inspired generations of fellow artisans! I count myself in that number and I am grateful for all he has done thus far to help make me a more thoughtful human artist.

THUS BEGINS MY DUNE SUMMER BUILD PROJECT!

I love The Dune 1984 Alternative Edition Redux Spice Diver Fan Edit! It has been around for years but I recently found a very decent 480P version of it and as always I like to share cool things like this with my beloved longtime B6*R7 Fliers! 

This is a great little extra resource to motivate me as I begin my DUNE Summer Build projects!
