They have beautiful NEW Harkonnen and Fremen Elite and Assault models that are SOooo wonderful for DUNE.
I need to go back a bit because they already made badass Harker and Bene Gesserit Elite models before I started this project. I mean these models are all inspired by ancient feudal England but so was DUNE so I am kidding when I say that GW steals from DUNE... the fact is they steal from everyone that they think the fans of REAL SCI-FI have forgotten about. This benefits me and other hobbyist who want to build something rare & wonderful.
I am very happy to report that ournewly deployedHARKONNEN Assault Trooperswill soon have NEW Fremen to SLAUGHTER! Be advised: all deep desert troopers should be watchful for these FremenScum as they employ new Atreides equipment! We shall of course stop their vain attempts to undermine Harkonnen domination!

I love the SPACING GUILD! It tempted me to know more about it when I started this project. The Guild is fun because of it's shadowy mystique and because it is mostly just a simple plot device in Frank's books. They are important but not the focus of the stories... but you want to know more. I also love the whole concept of The Spice Pirates that work with The Guild and anyone else who can pay their fees for raw unregistered pure SPICE! Of course I have to have them in my wonderful DUNE Skirmish Game.
Ole hippy activist Frank described almost nothing in his sleepy novels. I call it Dune-fog-vision. Cool things are happening but feel free to imagine just about anything visually. A happy consequence of Frank's vague space drama narrative is that we get to see a million versions of The DUNE Universe!
In the decades past the DUNE novels first publication DUNE has been wonderfully illustrated! These modern artist did what Frank could-would not do. I have found much to ponder and enjoy while researching! You can barely find art that is consistent in design, but some of it is similar in the basic vision of the concept. Look up any character or the beloved worms; you will find great variation, and I like it, because much of it is well done.
The Dune-fog-vision has made it easy for me to use the models and miniatures that I like and that look the way I want them to look. I am happy to report that I have found great models that matchup with what I see when reading the wonderful DUNE Novels. With GW being inspired by Classic Sci-Fi properties like DUNE and the wild selection available on Etsy this new adventure has been a lot of fun.
As I wind down the research and planning stage of my DUNE GAME Project I saved some of my most deep Dune Lore for this Neutral Faction, in the form of wonderful Chriss Foss Art to base some of my models on.
This will be a small but very fun faction (like The Sisterhood). I can add them to most any Great House, or The Guild, and... heroes from any other faction that know the benefits of quietly traveling with Pirates. That means that yes Gurney and Duncan, and others who have had a relationship with these badass Space Wolves.
As I planned my DUNE Miniatures Game I did a lot of NEW Research since I recently started reading the Brian Herbert main storyline Dune UniversePrequel Novels. I looked at what other DUNE enthusiast have done with scratch and limited release/converted miniatures and models too!

In my DUNE Miniatures Game there are going to be several factions including all of the Great Houses. I am also going to have other important and prominent factions such as The Spacing Guild, Bene Gesserit, and Spice Pirates! 🧐🎩💼🛒🌠🏆
I just started to buy the models to make my DUNE Game at the start of beloved Autumn. Now this month starts with the release of a lot of cool new models for NECROMUNDA from GW and other BAMF'ing models from Forge World! I am very happy to be able to buy these toys so that I can make my factions as cool as possible! I have been newly surprised to see just how many DUNE and close to Dune models there actually are on the market! This is a great adventure for me, free of modern culture's negativity which has all but destroyed Star Wars and Star Trek. I will be posting direct comparisons of the Dune media and the models that I am using to bring what I feel is The Best Representation of DUNE to my tabletop.
This is uplifting since we recently had our enthusiasm for the NEW #DUNE 2020 film stomped on by the eleven month postponement! PLEASE let this 2021 release be wonderful... may it make a billionand give the world something renewed to love... LOVE!
I have loved The Duneiverse for decades! The recent NEW Film announcements and related media added some nice fresh fuel to the Dune-fire I have kept smoldering inside for much of my life.
The New Dune excitement was followed immediately by the downer of the postponement announcement which confirmed that the film will not release until this time in 2021. That has been very disappointing to the fanbase and there has been a good bit of negativity about this delay.
I got a little heat over this mess when I made a few FB post about how bad this is going to be for this film. The Corvette-summah is killing all non-essential businesses like movie theaters. It is likely only going to get much worse in the coming year. That means that huge filmes like DUNE are going to be incredibly hard pressed to make any profit at all in the dying movie houses.
We can hope for a miraculous turn in the current state of pop-culture-media... but I doubt that will happen in time to make any difference for the new blockbusters that have all been postponed.
With this whole dark-storm blowing...
I would like my B6*R7 Friends to know that I am not going to fizzle out on DUNE. I will enjoy DUNE in my own way as I have done for decades and I will continue my New DUNE Projects!
