COLLECTION DIARY: CHRISTMAS 2020

I have been collecting models from EVERYWHERE to build my wonderful special games. The most challenging project (besides MARVEL COSMIC PROTOCOL) has been to make my DUNE Skirmish Game cool and comprehensive! My little quest to represent The DUNE Universe the way that makes me the most happy has resulted in the first large orders from Peppets War and Etsy 3D Print shops. 
 

I have built up several units and even have some nice vehicles and terrain for my beloved DUNE Game. I will be sharing these goodies in 2021 as faction specific grouped collections. I did this back in the day when I was building my Boss' BIG Approved STAR TREK Collection, and STAR WARS LEGION. World building collections need to be kept together for the most part. The DUNE Universe is huge and so I feel this is the best way to buy and share what I am doing with my DUNE loving B6*R7 Fliers.

I think I am good with Cosmic Protocol Mechs as of this holiday.

BOSS SHOP: DUNE & MCP - CHARACTERS AND ELITE TROOPS FOR X-MAS!

Early Holiday FUN came in this week from Puppets War! I love this wonderful company!

I have some of the best models on the market now for many of my very special Character and Elite Troopers. This huge order is going to make my DUNE Skirmish Game and Marvel Knights RED Skull-Hydra SOooo COOL! Some of this is going to make it in my Marvel Cosmic collection too.

There are twenty three miniatures in this order. Total cost for this order was just $250 which comes up to a wonderful $10 per miniature! Then the great plus in all of the many bits and terrain goodies too... The Pup'W-Crew even made extra sure that I would get this sexy package in the holiday rush, because they know I live in a huge apartment highrise and packages can get lost here in the seasonal rush.

THE FFG LEGION SWAN SONGS: LANDO AND KALLUS COMMANDER EXPANSIONS!

The wonderful; beloved, cool hero Lando, is detailed in his Playing The Odds article! 

Agent Kallus, who became cool in the end of REBELS, is detailed in his Hunter Of Spectres article!

I am very happy to see Lando finishing the STAR WARS: LEGION Rebellion Era of FFG's game. Kallus is a fun surprise too. I have mixed feeling on Tomic-Mess taking control of this game, and all STAR WARS MINIATURES Games in 2021... 

I will wait and see. Be what may, this is a good Swan Song from Fantasy Flight for LEGION.

NEW FREMEN ASSUALT TROOPERS! (House Van Saar Preorder)

I am going to be very happy to add these to my Fremen Faction! The preorders are open now. I am sure these badass NEW Models will be selling out by month's end just like the recent Harkonnens did. 

I will be preordering these later this week: THE SPICE MUST FLOW!

GW TECHNICAL TERRAIN IS GREAT!

The many ways to make great terrain with the NEW Gang Stronghold set is absolutely wonderful FUN! If you want some good ideas for using this set alone or with other GW sets, then this is going to be a very helpful article for you! I am using The Gang Stronghold and my other SCI-FI terrain kits to make all kinds of cool tech-places! As of this year I now have all kinds of options for my MARVEL COSMIC, DUNE, STAR WARS: LEGION, and STAR TREK MISSIONS games. 

EARTH IS SAVED BY THE STAR BLAZERS THIS WEEK IN 2199 - WE CELEBRATE!

The brave crew of The Yamato, Our Star Blazers, return home on December 8th in the year 2199. They bring with them the hard won Cosmo DNA which restores life to Mother Earth. This is a week of celebration!

 On December 8 2199 Mankind is saved by The Star Force!

SNAP SHIPS AND MY DUNE GAME... SO FUN AND COOL!

The Snap Ships Wave One are wonderful kits. I love them. The versatility and general coolness you can make happen with these toy-models is just FUN! If you know DUNE and the huge amount of concept art that is directly related to the universe; then you can see it here.

THE NEW DUNE FILM(S) ARE DEAD... LONG LIVE DUNE!!!

YEP... HBO MAX(ine) is where BIG budget films go to DIE now.

This of course means that the NEW DUNE film is going to lose all kinds of $$$ and thus the studio WILL NOT finance the second part of this 2 part story-film... innit great gang. KNEW IT... posted about it, and some peeps got mad-as-hel at me for being realistic. I am not happy about any of this either, but it is reality. 🧐

The good thing is that this slightly woke, but overall cool (enough) seaming new take on the story is not required for any of us to love DUNE. There are plenty of novels and art, the DUNE 1984 film and Sy-Fy series. I am going to continue to love DUNE, make my miniatures game, and listen the audio books and soundtracks while I play with my DUNE TOYS! 

I have loved The DUNE Universe for thirty some years, and recently discovered that there is way more of it to enjoy than I knew about before... 

I... Am... Good!

MORE MARVEL KNIGHTS (AND OTHER COOLNESS)... COMING 2021!

 BLADE & MOON KNIGHT!!!  This makes me very very happy! My beloved MARVEL COSMIC is number one in FUN, but the joy of MARVEL KNIGHTS is a very dam-solid second favorite for me. 

It's all about that glorious Classic Marvel Universe!

PLUS... New  Spidey  and  Cap  sculpts! There are also needed characters like  War Machine!

  She-Hulk, Talk about badassery...  Carnage, and  Power Man & Iron Fist  to make several sparse affiliations feel great and look awesome on the table! 

Speaking of the table... NEW York Appt Building... Oh Yah!

Now if  Madam Kemp  does not make these heroes in ballerina poses most of us will be very happy!

THE ARES BSG SSB FTL EXPANSION
