Some of my MCP buddies have asked me about my crazy Factions. Here is a general developers notebook to explain why I am doing what I am to make my MARVEL MINIATURES GAME experience what I feel it should be.
I should of loved this game, and I don't. I can not love a game that is as limited as the basic MCP experience is. AMG has made a little marvel wrestling game. No matter how many Marvel Characters AMG adds to the roster it will still just be a wash and repeat game. Just like the pathetic meta-mumbling X-Wing Death Matches.
I love The Classic Marvel Universe to much to play it the way AMG demands it be done! This game has issues with the sculptures too. I have seen so many complaints about that on the MCP FB Groups. Several of the models look very good, but they would be way more popular with better parts layouts on the sprue. It is ridiculous how gurl-kemp plans them out for casting. Kemp is also why most of the female models look like macho-women-crap. Other companies with less resources make much better models without having nonsensical tiny bits, even form fitting hair separated from heads... for fucks sake!
I am fixing the stupid in this game and ramping the verity way up!
The MCP Rules are decent and would be very fun but for the "game-balance" which is overdone by wokeAF-shick who wants all of the kids to get a first place trophy for participating. This is why all of the characters are limited when compared to what they actually are in the comics. All of this shick-ness is why The Incredible Hulk is a little bitch in the AMG meta-blub.
I am replacing all of AMG-craptastic with Unlimited Coolness and it is FUN!
I grew up with classic crazy-ass Movies and Marvel Comics from the 70's and 80's and glorious
HEAVY METAL Magazine and similar books and D&D as a youth. Because I have known this melting pot of many stories and art for all of my sentient life I expect a great universe in my miniatures games too! This is why I loved War Hammer 40K back in the day because it was very much a feast of deserve goodies!
My Aquatic Faction offers a feast of cool diverse Sci-Fi and Fantasy and it is one of my favorite projects currently! I am having a lot of fun critters and monsters in it plus biological and technical troopers and space travel.

I am using the models and toys available that I like that can best represent the cool things that I know from Classic Sci-Fi media and Cosmic Marvel. Sitting here now as I type this I can think of many cool settings that all have Aquatic Beings in them... that makes me happy! Space Whales, Jellyfish, Mere-folk and so forth are great fun!
I loved 40K and still like it but do not play it. One race that came out right as I was ending my dacade of duty to GW was that delightful Tau. I never felt that they belonged in the GRIM DARK, but rather in a cool manga or a film like The Fith Element or some such crazy-FUN Sci-Fi-Pop! Now many years later I have an excuse to buy me some cool cute Blue Fish Folks!
The Marvel Universe is one of the best to play in. For example The Mighty Thor, which is one of my favorite Marvel Comics, equals the entirety of The STAR WARS Universe in every way! Of course, I am not going to achieve all of this wonderful diverse craziness with just my Krakin-Neocen faction... which it why I am making many BOSS' MCP Factions!
