The #ARCHANGELGUARD rises from the ashes of #COMSTAR and #WORDofBLAKE 

This digital painting was another of my fun little #BATTLETECH weekend projects. I spent about six hours re-painting/editing the original COMSTAR image featuring my boy Anastasius Focht  My new Archangel Guard version introduces my ComStar character Alexander Taylor. Alexander is Precentor Martial of the new Archangel Guard.🤍⚡🖤

I love that the Archangel Tanks and Angel APC's look like they were built to go with my Special Force. Brothers notice how these brand new tanks have plating that goes crazy just like the armor on the actual Archangel Mechs. Look at the winglets on the badass Aero-angel-craft! They look just like they will function similarly to how the back and shoulder winglets of the Archangels! Then as if this was not enough... the Missileers have the dam-fine chest-torso styling of the Archangels. GLORY UPON GLORY! 🤍⭐🖤

The Angels already have their own BATTLE HYME too... The badass ending where Andy slays with his guitar is the last sound enemies of ComStar and The Inner Sphere will ever hear. 

The Archangels use the best equipment available including the newer Archangel Mechs, OmniFighters, VTOLs, and specialized Tanks. The AG-Agents and their Troopers have an array of Battlesuits, Stealth Tech and powerful new weapons.

I FINALLY GOT SOME GREAT LOOKING CGL SPECIAL BATTLETECH MODELS!

True story. I had that wonderful LEGENDARY set in my Amazon cart for... well months. They had the best price all of that time coming in at $125 with shipping. I waited; used some common sense, and finally got the pretties for a whole great BIG $30 direct form CGL! 🍷🧐🤖🎩🤗

I love these Badass ROUND Bases! They are going to make my models look so nice. I got a new black-ass-baby case for the small game stuff too because I plan to have a bunch of B-TECH SWAG and special Trooper models for my forces and none of it needs to bumbling around in large cases.

 

I got most of the force specific 3D Prints done in late December and a whole bunch of other faction specific tanks and such in January. I will be taking pictures of these formed up in their correct groupings and write a number of articles featuring all of this stuff in the coming weeks!

SPEED PAINTING DEMO VIDEO (Speed Paint vs Contrast: A Comparative Review)

This is an interesting and helpful review. As you know I have a great many miniatures and I have been considering doing several of them in this faster but still very nice new contrast method. I think I am going to do it now, for the basic rank and file figures at least.

COMSTAR is one of my favorite Battletech Factions. I love the idea of fixing the mess that The Word Of Blake caused; which tainted the good that Comstar did for mankind after the fall of The Star League. Thus as usual I am taking a setting that I know well and making changes that suite my game scenarios and opens up the models I can use to tell MY Battletech stories.

 

The ARCHAGLE GUARDIANS are the reformed WOB now. They are SPECIAL FORCES managed by COMSTAR and supported by Steiner-Lyran, FED COM, Davion and other powerful groups. The Archangel Guard preforms deep cover operations which secure the safety of the most important hidden assets of The Inner Sphere.

The Archangels use the best equipment available including the newer Archangel Mechs, OmniFighters, VTOLs, and specialized Tanks. The AG-Agents and their Troopers have an array of Battlesuits, Stealth Tech and powerful new weapons.

BOSS' BATTLETECH: AEROSPACE FIGHTERS - COM🌠STAR

Now that I have my first star of COMSTAR MECHS planned I am prepping for the rest of the army. As a COMSTAR and WORD OF BLAKE Commander I am going to run a good combination of Mechs. These glorious lances will need support. I have chosen to start with a few tanks and troops of course, and several Areospace fighters!

The series of AREO and OMNI Space Fighters are full of crazy craft...and I love several of them. For the purposes of my TOTAL WAR Battletech games I have decided to pick about a half dozen craft to populate my air and space battlefields. The designs are all similar, thus I quickly determined the best thing to do was to just get models that I like and look right for the B-TECH universe.

According to some of the history Com Star and most of the major houses use many of the same Areospace Fighters. I am using LAMs and my updated versions of the Corsair with a crazy WOB Archangel (row three) fighter that looks absolutely badass.
 I like my chosen Space Wizards craft a lot. They all suite my taste and fit much of the B-Tech art.

BOSS' BATTLETECH: TANKS PART 5

 As my regular B6*R7 Fliers know I plan stuff out as I buy the toys and such. I have been doing that for my renewed BATTLETECH babies for two fun months. Now that I have most of my MECHS, AEROSPACE, and TROOPS setup and just waiting for me to buy all of them.

It is the time for a FED COM &  COMSTAR TANKS episode! 

The Bulldog Class and other Support Vehicles and Trucks are going to be a lot of fun to have on my table as terrain, and more importantly as convoys to attack & defend. The DRD Command Vehicle is going to be great for game scenarios and it looks awesome in both it's moving and parked configurations!

The updated CHALLENGER is a House Davion Main Battle Tank used in all Federated Commonwealth territories. This version incorporates Omni Tech for key components such as weapon fittings and the main drive. There are a number of options for additional equipment and support armaments for this very sturdy and reliable heavy tank. 

I am going to have my support factions run many of the SPEC OPS vehicles. Tanks such as the Bolla Stealth are going to be very cool scenario driving problem solvers and troublemakers in my games!

The Quinjet support is a great surprise and completes the set perfectly!! 

I see some people already complaining about the silly magic rope thing. I agree. It will be very very easy to cut the ropes right out of the equation. The one dope with the rope in his had can be brandishing a weapon. The base can have city debris in place of the rope coils, if need be based on how the feet and ropes are interacting. Other than that I love everything about this forthcoming expansion!

It is the time for a CLAN WOLF & HOUSE STEINER TANKS episode!

I am very pleased to have these classic tanks in updated OMNI TANK models!

I like the big special characterful crazy tanks in Battletech, and the Heimdall is certainly that. My version of this Heavy Assault Vehicle is a lighter faster AV that keeps the heavy hitting main gun. I am going to be adding updated missal pods to the base model to keep the crazy look that drew me to include this tank in the first place.

 

The Schildkröte and Sekhmet are very powerful tanks with important battlefield roles. The WARDEN KNIGHT is designed to achieve the best of both roles as a new MAT (Main Assault Tank) and is the heaviest of the STEINER KNIGHT  Omni Tank-Assault Vehicles.
