BSG SHAPEWAYS SQUADRONS & SMALL SHIPS - EPIC SCALE GAMES!

I have enjoyed FFG's X-WING and ARMADA games for years. Now that ARES Games is making The BATTLESTAR GALACTICA Universe a legitimate gaming reality, and EAGLEMOSS is producing wonderful models for all of the important Capitol Ships too... I am ridiculously happy! I am going to enjoy building a great collection of Battlestar Glory for my Battle Parlor!

ARES are making rules for BSG Starship Battles and BSG Epic Fleet Battles! While they are making Capitol Ships (X-Wing Epic) for their Epic Game, they plan to use the same squadron and small ships from the base game for their Epic Game. I do not think that will work as well with this game as it did for the X & Attack Wing games. This is the only thing that ARES is doing for their BSG Games that I do not love, thus I am buying Eaglemoss Capitol Ships and Squadron and Small ship models available at Shapeways! I will of course use the rules ARES publishes for their Epic Game too, along with FFG Armada bases to conduct my wonderful Fleet Battles... and it will be Great FUN!

WHAT JOY IS THIS?

Once I had the first order of adorable little badass BSG Epic Scale Miniatures in hand... and I could see how well they had been sculpted and how good they looked on Armada Bases: I knew I needed to buy more.... Much-MORE!

I am setting up all of my Squadrons and Small Ships into collections of six to twelve models. The exceptions being Colonial One, which is a single character ship, and the Cylon War II Raiders which you need to have in droves! There are a few Special Ships that I am doing too. First of course will be a roughed-up and dirty creepily painted CWII Raiders to represent SCAR. The second is going to be a tedious but fun conversion of a CWI Raider to make a Cylon Character Wardriver Colonials call The BEAST... because I can... I Must!
