I almost know how to use my nice new Corel Pro video editing software now after tinkering with it for the last few weeks. You fine Star Brothers of mine can expect regular videos for all of my diaries and projects. This is the first official (LOL!) Boss Shop Collection Diary; just in time for my favorite holiday season.
From now on all of the Collection Diary goodies will be pictured within the videos, except for a nice featured image to head each article. I found that I can share much higher quality pictures for you to peep down by including them in these nice 1080P HD video-joints. I hope you enjoy the new style.
Part one of The Boss Video Shop for this project was a fun learning experience for me. I just got Corel Pro video editing uploaded to my machine and started getting half way serious about figuring how to use it this week.
When you watch the video some distortion will appear in the images,
because I fooled around and just added some pictures that I had already
done into the little gallery at the end of the show. I have that issue
figured out now too. The video plays fine, and from now on my images
will look right too in future projects.
I am showing some of the cleanup here because I did not want to have these images stretched out and wacky. The gallery in the video is things my regular B6*R7 Bros have seen in other articles already. I'll get better with the videos.
One of the things that had to go on the gun was a huge block of caution and warning text. I have always used razors to cut most of this down. it is a trick that I learned years ago and it works great. Basically you oil the surface and just shave off the raised text. This works for any unwanted detail, if it is not to high off the main surface area.
After most of the text was trimmed down almost flat i gave the area a firm sanding with a basic rubber block hand sander. I used rough at first and worked down to fine. It came out as clean as a new plate.
The main body is very nice now and ready for all kinds of detailing, after I wash it up real good.
The nose is going to be pretty badass when I am done. The top is going to house a ram (for boarding actions) and all kinds of guns. Soon the HUTT Fleet will be a mighty force.
Tired of the old maneuver dials looking beat up? Well Fantasy Flight is going to fix that first thing next year! Check out the goodies in their Ace Maneuvers article posted this week. Kinda cute.
These are going to be great for adding custom ships to our games, rather than trying to get a card printed out nice and clean you can put your favorite maneuver dial into one of these then just make a cute little ship silhouette for the identification image.
I already have all of the ships done as emotes so that just might be some awesomeness.
Yeah, I might need thirty of these damn sexy rascals... now "FIX" the tokens FFG!
I LOVE ME SOME SWAG... STAR WARS SWAG even better! So these new card-game mats would look great with some wonderful X-WING Paper on 'em. Check out the first set for The Dark Side... they are cool.
Now you know they will have a preview up soon of The Resistance Mats too... right on, right on!
So I am finally going to dive into STAR WARS ARMADA. I have been looking around for some extra content and started listening to The Intensify Forward Firepower Podcast.
These guys are informed veteran players and have a good sense of the game. I like them and recommend that you check their shows out.
With The Massing At Sullust event over we are seeing the first nice videos for Wave II Unboxings. Some of the guys I like on Dat-Tube are of course the first Star Brothers to post The NEW Goodies for us. Check 'em out gang!
